Arkansas early head start programs

My mother is a life-long educator that had always instilled in my twin sister and myself the importance of pursuing our educational goals.

This pursuit was also echoed by the Directors that I was blessed to work with over the years. They encouraged me to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, then my Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, and to continue pursuing other educational opportunities as well.

Over 24 years, I have met some amazing people and continue to be inspired by their passion and dedication to the families and children that they serve here in Arkansas. I continue to be amazed by the Head Start community's ability to adapt to change and new requirements over the years. Contact Information. Designed by Arkansas Head Start Association. Administrative Services Manager. Head Start is a US Department of Health and Human Services program for early childhood education, health, and nutrition for children from low income families. The program promotes school readiness for children ages Through relationships with adults, play, and planned and spontaneous instruction, children grow in many aspects of development. Children progress in social skills and emotional well-being, along with language and literacy learning, and concept development.

All children receive health and development screenings, nutritious meals, oral health and mental health support. Programs connect families with medical, dental, and mental health services to ensure that children are receiving the services they need. Family Well-Being : Parents and families are supported in achieving their own goals, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security.

Each delivery will contain items for families enrolled in our Early Head Start and Head Start centers. All families are eligible to participate, and will receive a box that has been prepared and delivered to each center in the counties listed on the designated day each month.

Participants should check with their specific center to find out the date and time of pick up each month, as these details may vary based on location, holidays, etc.
