Do .mov files play on ps3

I've only tried p clips but converting and playing on my laptop was fine. Playback on the PS3 was obviously ok too. I'm now considering trying Super C to stitch some of the clips together, otherwise my video folder on the XMB is soon going to be too long to manage. Yes - I've already created a 'Home Movies' folder, but seeing as most of my clips will be mins, it will soon get to be a very long list.
